I can be a little clumsy about planning and organizing my week. There is a weekly to-do list. There is a daily to-do list. There is even a “do not do” list. And then there are the notes I got. Yes, there are not “notes” but “notes”.
Sometimes I spend so much time thinking about and planning what I want to do, it takes a lot of time to take action to do these things.
This is a mistake.
I said “this is the moment” when I realized that an easier way to progress to reach my expectations from life is to break down exactly what I need during the day and see what I need to do within each piece.
Let me explain a little more …
We spend all this time thinking about the big applause, big awards or gold medals at the end of the rainbow, as we forget to focus on what we need to do right now. Dreaming is fun, easy and ironically enough. Our little dreams feel good enough – our brains cannot tell the difference between imagined and real experiences – they force us not to do anything (I’ll tell you in another article how it can benefit from a training).
So how can we fix this?
Take a break from your dreams for a few minutes, get a pen or open the notes section of your phone or tablet and let’s do a homework quickly (It will be very easy, believe me and as long as you do, you will be successful). Write this big target on your tablet, at the top of a piece of paper or in your cell phone’s notes. Whatever this goal is,
Don’t waste time wondering if you have enough time or if your teammates will laugh at you or if your coach thinks you’re crazy.
Just write. Thinking.
For the purposes of this exercise, the program is much more important than the target. You can achieve great things with a suitable program. Dot. The goal becomes almost insignificant.
Now. Fun part … Effective part …
To achieve this goal, to be that swimmer, to reach the levels you dream of … How will a typical day pass for you? In other words, what do you have to do daily to make this happen?
This can be seen as a miracle shock moment for swimmers who prefer to be in the safe harbor against the harsh demands of perfection, who prefer to relax and relax in their dreams; but for the rest, this is an exciting moment where you can make a clear connection between where you are now and where you want to be. Think about it … and write it down. What do you need to do daily to make this goal a reality, from sunrise to sunset?
If you start training poorly, will you spend five more minutes after each workout?
To improve your turns, will you make quick tapping and quick twisting turns throughout the entire workout?
How much do you pay attention to your diet, which is one of the most important factors that affect your performance? Let’s confess that; We all consume junk food from time to time without eating fastfood. So what do we do next to balance this? Are you planning to set a limit in a more planned way from now on?
When you realize that you spend time until very late every night, watching TV, playing games or texting with your friends, will you create a breakpoint to get the sleep you need?
Write them and be that swimmer when you wake up tomorrow.
